Sponsor Spotlight: Laser Spine Institute

At Laser Spine Institute, it’s not just about relieving chronic neck or back pain. To us, it’s giving our patients and teammates the tools they need to lead healthy, happy and fulfilling lives. And it all begins with cultivating a culture where opportunities are attainable.

Our story is an inspiring one and shows that if you put your passion into action, anything is possible. In fact, what was once a single operating room with nine employees is now an organization with seven state-of-the-art surgery centers and more than 1,000 team members — many of them successful women.

Women make up 68 percent of our team in a country where men comprise 53 percent of the total workforce, according to the United States Department of Labor. At Laser Spine Institute, women hold 53 percent of our leadership positions.

We continually strive to give female business professionals the resources to lead, both professionally and personally. Through involvement with the Women of Influence program at the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce or by helping local nonprofits, we believe that a healthy career contributes to a healthy lifestyle.

Some of our female leaders put their talents to work within our community, filling roles in organizations like the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women — a nonprofit that saves lives by raising awareness for heart disease in women.

Our giving culture thrives on community outreach, which extends far beyond Tampa Bay and the United States.

In September 2015, a group of Laser Spine Institute team members completed a six-day journey across the Dominican Republic for a medical mission trip. Traveling with SCORE International — an organization helping individuals partake in short-term mission trips — our teammates brought clothes, food and other supplies to residents living in poverty.

At Laser Spine Institute, it’s not just about business — it’s about watching people succeed. It’s about celebrating those successes as a community, no matter how far and wide they span. It’s about improving the quality of life for others, no matter what it takes.
