You've Reached the Peak; Now What?
As more and more women make the slow ascent up the workplace mountain, what are the challenges once you reach the top? Despite the low number of women leaders as compared to their male counterparts, more women are finding themselves in uncharted territory with few to provide advice about what to do as the boss. This panel explores what happens when women lead in male-dominated workplaces and assert their direction for the first time. What was the response, what surprised them the most about the staff’s reaction to difficult choices, and what counsel can you give to others that you wish you knew before taking the big job will be a few of the questions debated in the lively breakout session.
